Examination of meat

(1) All meat brought into the Market for sale (other than meat which has been previously examined at the Slaughter house) shall forthwith be submitted for examination, and shall be examined before it is exposed or exhibited for sale, by the Clerk of the Market or a veterinary officer or a health officer. (2) If on such examination any meat shall have any appearance of disease or unsoundness the Clerk of the Market or veterinary officer shall notify the owner thereof and unless and until such meat shall have been approved by a medical officer it shall not be offered for sale or sold.
