Imprisonment for a subsequent offence

Where a magistrate upon any information or complaint adjudges the defendant to be imprisoned, and such defendant is then in prison undergoing imprisonment upon a conviction for any other offence, the warrant of commitment for such subsequent offence shall in every such case be forthwith delivered to the keeper of the prison to whom it is directed, and he shall under the authority of that warrant imprison the defendant in accordance with the directions therein.
