Commencement of imprisonment

Where any person is brought by a police officer to any prison to be imprisoned by virtue of a warrant of commitment, the police officer shall indorse on the warrant the day on which the person was arrested by virtue thereof and the imprisonment shall be computed from that day and inclusive thereof.
