Issue of warrant for witness in first instance
Cap. 99, s. 33 · Revised Edition 2020
If the magistrate is satisfied by proof upon oath that any person likely to give material evidence, either for the complainant or for the defendant, will not attend to give evidence without being compelled to do so then, instead of issuing a summons, he may issue a warrant in the first instance for the apprehension of that person.
