Attempt and incitement to commit summary conviction offence

Subject to the express provisions of any statute for the time being in force in that behalf, every person who attempts to commit, or incites any other person to commit, any summary conviction offence shall on conviction thereof be liable to one- half of the punishment prescribed for that offence by the statute creating it.
