Power to make order for detention of vagrants in poor-house

Where any person is brought before the court charged with having committed an offence against the provisions of any Act relating to vagrants, or to rogues and vagabonds, or to incorrigible rogues, and it appears to the court that the person so charged is unable from physical infirmity to maintain poorhouse. 70 himself, and that he has no visible means of subsistence, the court, instead of proceeding to hear and determine that charge, may order that the person so charged shall be forthwith conveyed to a poor-house and there detained until he is discharged therefrom as provided by sections 121 and 122 of this Act.
