Order of commitment

(1) Whenever any order of commitment under the Debtors Act, Cap. 168, has been made by the court, or any warrant of attachment has been ordered by the court to be issued, the order or warrant shall be directed to the bailiff of any court, who shall be empowered thereby to take the body of the person against whom the order has been made or warrant issued. (2) All peace officers within their several jurisdictions shall aid in the execution of every order or warrant mentioned in this section, and the Superintendent or Keeper of every prison 27 mentioned in the order or warrant shall be bound to receive and keep the person therein mentioned until he is discharged under the provisions of this Act or otherwise in due course of law.
