Persons to be present at execution

(1) Sentence of death shall be executed by or under the supervision of the Superintendent of Prisons on the authority of a death warrant signed by the Governor-General and directed to him. (2) The execution shall take place in the presence of the medical officer of the prison, a visiting justice of the prison, the spiritual advisor of the culprit, if any, and any other officers of the prison whose services the Superintendent of Prisons requires for the purpose.
