General rules for the punishment of felony or misdemeanour

Where by the Code or by any law hereafter enacted a crime is declared to beCAP. 101. (a) a felony, and the punishment for such crime is not specified, a person convicted thereof shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; (b) a misdemeanour, and the punishment for such crime is not specified, a person convicted thereof shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years. etc.
