Fining bailiff for misconduct or neglect of duty

(1) The magistrate may, after hearing him in his defence, fine a bailiff a sum not exceeding fifty dollars for any misconduct or neglect of duty in respect of his office. 19 (2) The fine shall be deducted from any salary accruing due to the bailiff in manner directed by the magistrate. (3) An order made by a magistrate under this section shall be subject to appeal to the Public Services Commission and shall be made in writing within four days after the bailiff has been notified that the order has been made.
