Duties

(1) The duties of the bailiff shall be– (a) to attend every sitting of the court and act as crier thereof; (b) to serve all summonses and orders and execute all writs and other process assigned to him by the magistrate who may, with the sanction of the Minister, direct that the service or execution of any process be effected by any police officer or special constable or other person specially authorised by him; and (c) to obey the orders and directions of the 18 (2) Where there are more bailiffs than one, the duties of the office shall be apportioned between them in the manner directed by the magistrate.
