Audit

The accounts of the Council shall be audited by the Auditor General who shall, within six months of submission of the accounts, certify the annual abstract accounts subject to any report which he may consider necessary and shall forward them to the mayor. Copies shall be sent to the Minister of Local Government and the Minister of Finance. The mayor shall lay on the table, at 160 Town Councils the Council Meeting next following their receipt, the audited accounts together with any report by the Auditor General thereon.
