Interpretation in this Part

In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires“officer” means a person who is on the permanent established staff of a Council; 35 “pensionable emoluments” includes salary and personal “personal allowance” means a special addition to salary granted personally to the holder for the time being of the office; and “salary” means the actual salary attached to an office.
