Contravention is an offence

Any occupier who contravenes the provisions of bylaws 5 and 6 of these bylaws commits and offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not less than $100 and not exceeding $500. In addition, in the case of a failure to pay any sum due to the Council in respect of Bylaw 5 of these bylaws such person shall be ordered by the court to pay to the Council such fine plus the amount due and owing and the legal and Belmopan City Council 53 administrative costs incurred by the Council within such time or extended time as the Court may allow.
