Littering offences

A person within the City of Belmopan who– (a) throws, places or causes either deliberately or negligently any refuse of any sort to fall into any sewer, pipe or drain or into any river, stream, canal, watercourse, pond or reservoir; (b) throws or places any refuse of any sort in or upon any street thoroughfare, alley-way or other public place, except upon such place designated by the Council to be use as receptacles of refuse; (c) causes, either deliberately or negligently, any offensive matter to flow from any place into any street thoroughfare, alley-way or other 54 Belmopan City Council public place or into any sewer, pipe or drain or into any river, stream, canal, watercourse, pond, or reservoir, or into any uncovered place, whether or not surrounded by a wall or fence; (d) deposits garbage in a receptacle which is not suitable and properly covered; (e) exposes, on any sidewalk, street, or any place where the contents may be scattered onto a public place, a receptable containing garbage not sufficiently protected so as to effectively prevent the content of the receptacle from being exposed or scattered; (f) burns any refuse anywhere within the City of Belmopan or one mile within the limits thereof, commits a littering offence.
