Application to carry out works

(1) All utility agencies shall apply to the Unit at least one month in advance for permission to carry out any works which may interrupt traffic or the infrastructure of other utilities or are likely to cause disruption to the amenities of the city. (2) An application for permission under this by-law shall be in the form set out in the Schedule III and shall be accompanied by a program of works. Schedule III. (3) Where permission is granted by the Unit, it shall be in the form set out in the Schedule IV to these By-laws. Schedule. IV. (4) Where permission has been granted by the Unit under this by-law, the utility agency shall notify the public of the works intended to be carried out in advance, and shall post all the requisite notices and warnings in connection with such works. (5) A fee, to be determined by the Council, shall be payable to the Unit for the control and management of traffic (vehicular or pedestrian) through the construction zone.
