Alternative routes

For events other than those of normal city touring operations, such as but not limited to funerals, weddings or other similar public event, which require that the driver travels on streets other than those approved in his Licence, the operator shall apply to the Traffic Department in writing, stating the purpose, time, date and proposed routes, with at least forty-eight hours advance notice. In considering the application, the Traffic Department shall take into consideration such factors as the nature of the event and the surrounding circumstances, traffic flows, incidence of congestion, and general traffic control and management in Belize City.
