Private money not to be mixed with Council money

No officer of the Council shall keep or allow to be kept in the place of safe custody provided him any money except money belonging to the Council or such as by virtue of his office he is bound to receive and account for. If private money is found in such a place of safe custody it is liable to be credited to the revenue of the Council. Private money shall in no circumstances be included in the Council’s bank account.
