Withdrawal of candidate

A candidate duly nominated may, not less than two clear days before the taking of the poll, but not afterwards, withdraw from his candidature by giving a notice to that effect, signed by him, to the Returning Officer, and in such case if there are no more remaining candidates than there are seats to be filled, such candidates shall be deemed to be duly elected and notice of their election shall be published by the Returning Officer. 44 Belize City Council
