General penalty

Every person, including a member, who contravenes or fails to comply with any provision of this Act or of any rules, regulations or by-laws made thereunder, or who wilfully violates a lawful decision of the Council, commits an offence and, unless some other penalty be specially provided, is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, or both such fine and imprisonment.
