Period of service qualifying for pension defined

(1) Subject to this Part, service qualifying for pension shall be the inclusive period between the date on which an officer began to draw salary from the funds of the Council and the date of his leaving the service of the Council. (2) Service qualifying for pension shall be unbroken service, except in cases where it has been interrupted by abolition of office or other temporary suspension of employment not arising from misconduct, gross negligence or voluntary resignation.
