Penalty of officers for taking gratuity

Every officer or servant employed for the purposes of this Act who exacts or accepts on account of anything done relating to his duties any fee or reward whatever other than the salary or allowance ordered or allowed by the Council commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than two hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
