Application of Part X

(1) Subject to sub-section (2) of this section, the provisions of this Part shall apply notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in Parts I to IX of this Act or in any other law. (2) This Part shall not apply to– (a) a person engaged in petroleum operations, and where a person is partly engaged in petroleum operations and partly in other activities, the provisions of this Part shall not apply to that part of the activities as is materially related to petroleum operations; or (b) an approved company under the Designated CAP. 280. Processing Area Act. (3) For the purposes of this section, the term “petroleum operations” shall have the meaning assigned to it in section 2 of this Act. (4) Repealed.
