Redistilling of spoiled spirits

(1) If from any cause a still ejects wash from the worm instead of spirits, and such wash flows into a spirit receiver and the spirits therein are thereby spoiled, the Excise Officer shall allow the distiller to redistil such spoiled spirits. 30 (2) If from any cause low wines or feints pass into a spirit receiver and the spirits therein are thereby spoiled, the Excise Officer shall allow the distiller to redistil such spoiled spirits. (3) If from any other cause proved to the satisfaction of an Excise Officer, spirits at a distillery require to be redistilled, he may permit this to be done by the distiller. (4) Whenever spirits are redistilled they shall be mixed with wash in the presence of an Excise Officer before being redistilled.
