Transfers

(1) As far as possible, transfers must be planned in such a way as not to disrupt officers with children attending school during the current school year. (2) Transfers shall be for the benefit of the Public Service, as well as the workers and shall not be used as a punitive measure. (3) Transfers shall not be arbitrary. Wherever practicable, a list of the posts and the names of workers who are likely to be transferred shall be drawn up and made known to such workers and they should be given adequate notice and allowed time to make proper arrangements for their families, especially where children in schools may be affected. 186 Belize Constitution CAP. 297.
