Technical stop

(1) The master of a conveyance that makes a technical stop shall not be required to provide ACI under section 12 if the arrival is compelled by any emergency, accident, unfavorable weather conditions, or other necessity. (2) The master of a conveyance that makes a technical stop under sub-section (1) shall– (a) immediately report to the Comptroller; (b) only permit the cargo to be off loaded from the conveyance if consent is given by the Comptroller; and (c) comply with any directions given by the Comptroller in respect of any cargo on board the conveyance.
