Currency used for purchasing

(1) Subject to subregulation (3) below, only United States currency may be used to purchase goods at a duty free shop. (2) A resident of Belize shall not be allowed to use credit cards to make duty free purchases at a duty free shop. (3). The Minister of Finance may, by notice published in the Gazette, prescribe any additional currency for the purchase of goods at duty free shops. Customs and Excise Duties 77
