Interpretation

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Act” means the Sports Act; “Committee” means the Sports Development and Advisory Special Committee established under the Sports (Development and Advisory Special Committee) Order, 2004; “Council” means the National Sports Council established under the Sports Act; “designated sport” means a particular sport referred to the Committee by the Council in accordance with regulations 6(1) and 6(2); “Minister” means the Minister for the time being responsible for sports; “sports” means any physical activity practiced in Belize with a set form and body of rules and in which two or more persons engage for the purpose of competition.
