Interpretation

(1) For the purposes of these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Act” means the Social Security Act; “appointed day” means 1st June, 1981; “Benefit Regulations” means the Social Security (Benefit) Regulations; “Collection of Contributions Regulations” means the Social Security (Collection of Contributions) Regulations; “earnings” has the same meaning assigned to it by the Collection of Contributions Regulations; “retired person” has the same meaning assigned to it by the Social Security (Classification) Regulations. (2) All other words and expressions defined in the Act shall have the same meaning in these Regulations. Social Security 241
