Defective claim

If a claim form is defective at the date of its receipt, the Committee may refer it back to the claimant, and if the relevant form is returned to the Committee properly completed within one month from the date on which it is so referred, the claim may be treated as if it had been duly made in the first instance. 202 Social Security
