Interpretation

For the purposes of these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“accident” has the same meaning assigned to it by Regulation 2 of the Benefit Regulations; “Act” means the Social Security Act; “appointed day” means 1st June 1981; “appropriate day” in relation to the payment of any benefit has the meaning assigned to it by Regulation 15; “Benefit Regulations” mean the Social Security (Benefit) Regulations; “Injury benefit period” has the same meaning assigned to it by Regulation 39 of the Benefit Regulations; “medical certificate” means a certificate issued by a medical practitioner. 144 All other words and expressions defined in the Act have the same meaning in these Regulations. on the
