Interpretation

For the purposes of these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Act” means the Social Security Act; “appointed day” means 1st June, 1981; “Collection of Contributions Regulations” mean the Social Security (Collection of Contributions) Regulations; “contribution year” has the same meaning assigned to it by the Collection of Contributions Regulations; “due date” means, in relation to any contribution, the date on which that contribution was due to be paid in accordance with the Collection of Contributions Regulations; All other words and expressions defined in the Act shall have the same meaning in these Regulations.
