Interest on unpaid or late contributions

Without prejudice to any penalties under the Act, where an employer fails to pay within the prescribed time any sum in respect of contribution payable by him in respect of an employed person under these Regulations, he shall pay interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum or twenty cents for each week, whichever is higher, from the date on which the said sum or the first part thereof fell due.
