Power of Quarantine Authority

(1) A Belizean handed over by an immigration officer to the Quarantine Authority pursuant to section 24(5B) of the Immigration Act is required to submit to a medical test by a medical doctor designated by the Quarantine Authority. (2) A Belizean who refuses to submit to a medical test under sub-section (1) commits an offence. (3) The penalty for and the procedure on arrest and charge of a Belizean who commits an offence under this section shall be prescribed by Regulations.
