Notice to repair

If at any time the gravestone on any grave or the fencing surrounding the same is out of repair or becomes unsightly, it shall be the duty of the Keeper of the Cemetery to give notice of such fact to such person as he may ascertain to be liable for the maintenance of such grave-stone or fence, and to report the circumstances of his having given such notice to the Mayor of the Town Council. If within one month of the service of such notice the grave-stone or fence is not repaired, it shall be lawful for the Mayor of the Town Council either to repair the same or to remove the whole or any part of such fence or grave-stone, which in his opinion is in such bad condition or repair as to be unsightly. It shall be lawful for the Town Council to take summary proceedings against the person or persons liable for the maintenance of such grave-stone or fence to recover any expenses it may have incurred in such repair or removal.
