Judge to investigate claims

A judge may, upon petition duly verified, investigate and determine the validity of any claim to a right of sepulchre in any public cemetery acquired or alleged to have been acquired before 25th July, 1878, and thereupon certify under his hand to the Minister his determination thereon, and every such petition with a notice of the time when it will be heard shall be delivered to the Attorney General for the Minister, and be served upon any person or persons who is or are known to assert any right in opposition thereto, at least three weeks before the hearing of such petition. 28
