Non-observance of law. Proceedings by officer of Police

Every Registrar shall within one week after 1st January and 1st July in each year, and at any other time when called upon to do so by the Director of Health Services, make out a list of all cases in which certified copies of certificates or vaccinations have not been duly received by him during the last preceding half-year, and shall submit the same to the chief officer of Police in the district in which he acts, and the said police officer shall forthwith inquire into the circumstances of the cases contained in the list, and if he finds the provisions of 89 this Part have been neglected, he shall cause proceedings to be taken against all persons in default.
