Power to treat stagnant water by applying oil

(1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, a health officer may at any time treat stagnant water by applying oil to its surface in such a manner as to destroy mosquitoes. (2) Oil shall not be put into a cistern or other water container which is properly screened from mosquitoes, and only refined oil shall be placed in receptacles containing water used for drinking.
