Bonds

(1) Every candidate selected for the award of a scholarship shall, if required to do so by the Minister, enter into a bond undertaking that he would, upon the completion of his course of studies or on such later date as may be approved by the Minister, return to Belize and for such period as the Minister may decide in each case– (a) enter, re-enter or remain in the service of the Government of Belize; or (b) serve a quasi Government body in Belize; or (c) subject to the express written consent of the Minister, work in any sector of the country. (2) The expression “quasi Government body” for the purposes of this regulation includes the Belize City Council established under the Belize City Council Act, a Town Council of any Town established under the Town Councils Act, the Belmopan City Council established under the Belmopan City Belize Scholarship 13 Council Act, or any other institution recognized as such by the Minister. 14 Belize Scholarship
