Notice of intention to sell a registered heritage asset

(1) The owner of a registered heritage asset who enters into a contract of sale of the whole or any part of that heritage asset must notify NICH in writing of the prescribed information in relation to that heritage asset and about the existence of that contract within 28 days of the date of the contract. (2) A person who fails to comply with sub-section (1) commits an offence, and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
