Offences and penalties

(1) Every person found guilty of an offence against the provisions of section 44, 56 or 62 shall be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both such fine and term of imprisonment. National Institute of Culture and History 37 (2) It shall be within the discretion of the Director of Public Prosecutions whether an offence against the provisions of section 44, 56, or 62 shall be prosecuted summarily or on indictment.
