Declaration of archaeological reserves

The Minister, on the recommendation of the Board, may by Order published in the Gazette declare– (a) any area of unalienated national land containing or to an monument to be an Archaeological Reserve; (b) any area of alienated national land, title to which has reverted to the State, containing or adjacent to an ancient monument to be an (c) any ancient monument acquired by the Director or the Minister pursuant to section 40(1) or (2) or to section 43(3) or to section 47, together with any land adjacent thereto, to be an Archaeological Reserve.
