Radioactive waste management

(1) A national policy and strategy for radioactive waste management shall be initiated by the Office and approved by the Minister. (2) The Office shall prescribe requirements for a safe management of radioactive waste, including its categorization, conditioning, treatment, storage and disposal. (3) The Office shall ensure the continuous regulatory control over radioactive waste form its generation to final disposal, including institutional controls.
