Sport license

(1) Every person desirous of engaging in sport fishing within Belizean waters shall apply in writing to the Minister or to a person or authority authorized in writing by the Minister, as the case may be, for a sport fishing license. Coastal Zone Management 7 Schedule I. (2) No person shall engage in sport fishing in Belizean waters unless he is the holder of a valid sport fishing license in the form prescribed in Schedule I to these Regulations. Schedule II. (3) Upon payment of the fee prescribed in Schedule II to these Regulations, the Minister or a person or authority duly authorized by him pursuant to these Regulations, may issue a sport fishing license to fish within Belizean waters. (4) A license issues pursuant to the Regulation shall be valid for the period prescribed in the license and may be subject to such terms and conditions as described in the license. (5) A person engaged in sport fishing in Belizean waters shall make available for inspection, a valid sport fishing license upon request by any Fisheries Officer, and authorized agent or officer of the CZMA or a member of the Belize Coast Guard authorized by the Minister or by any other maritime agency of Belize authorized in that behalf. (6) A person shall not alter any sport fishing license.
