Interpretation

In these Regulations“angler” means a person involved in sport fishing activities; “catch and release” means the act of catching fish and then immediately releasing the fish into the waters of Belize in the same state that the fish was landed; “CZMA” means the Coastal Zone Management Authority; “licensee” means the holder of a sport fishing license; “Minister” means the Minister for the time being responsible for Fisheries; “sport fishing” means fishing for the purpose of leisure or competition only, and not for the commercial purpose of selling, exporting or otherwise; “sport fishing license” means a license issues in accordance with regulation 3 of these Regulations.
