Offences and penalties

(1) Any person who procures or attempts to procure registration as a professional architect for himself or any other person by making or producing or causing to be made or produced any false or fraudulent representation or declaration, either orally or in writing commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years. (2) Any person who, during a period when his registration as a professional architect under this Act is suspended, or who, not being registered as a professional architect, practices professional architecture or any branch of professional architecture, or acts as a partner to any professional architect commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction 16 (Registration) to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years.
