Eligibility for customs broker’s licence

A person is eligible to apply for a customs broker’s licence if that person– (a) is at least eighteen years of age; (b) is a citizen of Belize or a CARICOM national; (c) is not employed as public officer at the time of his application; (d) has not been convicted of an offence involving dishonesty during the last five years, whether in Belize or elsewhere; and (e) completes at least ten hours of entry level customs brokerage training that is approved by the Board.
