Status of attorney-at-law

(1) Every person whose name is entered on the Roll in accordance with this Act shall be known as an attorney-at-law, and– (a) subject to sub-section (2), be entitled to practice law and to sue for and recover his fees for services rendered in that respect; (b) be an officer of the Supreme Court; (c) subject to sub-section (2), have the right of audience before any court; and (d) when acting as an attorney-at-law, be subject to liability in respect of negligence in a professional capacity.
