Powers of the Board

(1) The Board shall have power to regulate the hours during which members may use the sub-library or obtain books, the amount of deposit or other security required from members desirous of borrowing books, and the conditions under which the reading rooms (if any) may be used. The Sub-Librarian shall be under their control as far as his library duties are concerned. (2) They shall not have the power to incur any expense on behalf of the National Library except on the written authority of the Chairman or Librarian of the National Library.
