Establishment of Belize National Library Service and Information System

There shall be established in and for Belize a National Library Service and Information System, which shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to enter into contracts, to sue and be sued by law in its corporate name and which may for all purposes be described by such name, with power to acquire, hold, mortgage, lease and dispose of all kinds of property, moveable and immovable, real or personal, to borrow such sums as may be required for meeting any of its obligations or for discharging any of its functions, and to do and perform all such acts and things as bodies corporate may by law do and perform, subject to the provisions of this Act.
